The Pơmu Cypress Forest

A part of the giant forest of Tay Giang District, this area has more than 1,200 trees spread over an area of 240 hectares. The Pơ mu Cypress trees are on Zi’lieng Mountain, about 1,500 metres above sea level, and are from 300 to over 1,000 years old. The biggest one is 3m diameter, and 22m high. In 2016, The Vietnam Association for the Conservation of Nature and the Environment has recognized 725 rare Pơmu Cypress trees on Zi' lieng Mountain as heritage trees of Vietnam.
