Cau Mong barbecued veal


Cau Mong barbecued veal is well known and it was recognized as one of the top 50 Vietnamese dishes by the Viet Nam Record Organization. Roasted meat is cut flavoured slices not separated from skin to taste. The veal must be eaten with vegetables such as sliced banana, sliced starfruit and herbs. Fish sauce is made with ‘mam cai”- local salted anchovies seasoned with a bit sugar, chilli, garlic and lemon then dip into ‘mam cai” to taste the dish.
