The Monument of Vietnamese Heroic Mother
With a total area of 16.5ha, The Monument of Vietnamese Heroic Mother is the largest national-level cultural work designed by the artist Dinh Gia Thang and the architect Nguyen Luan. This work is chosen for golden medal at Vietnam Fine Arts Exhibition 2015. The work of immense political significance is to pay tribute to Vietnam's mothers who sacrificed for national independence, freedom and reunification.
Approximately 07 km from Tam Ky city and 40 km from Hoi An city, the Monument of Vietnamese Heroic Mother has enormous cultural, social and political significance. It pay tribute to Vietnam's mothers, who sacrificed greatly for the independence, freedom and unification of their nation. Inside the monument is a commemorative house, with an area of 1.800 m2. Here, the names of more than 100,000 heroic mothers are listed, along with their stories and the contributions they made to Vietnam.
