An Bang beach located in Cam An ward (Hoi An, Quang Nam province) is, once again, voted as one of the 10 most beautiful tourist attractions in Asia in 2024. This is a category of TripAdvisor’s Traveller's Choice Awards 2024.

An Bang beach, along with the Cham Islands and Tam Hai Island, is considered the key for sea and island tourism development in Quang Nam.

In Quang Nam, island and sea tourism is becoming increasingly popular and a must-try experience.

In addition to stunning beaches and islands, one of Quang Nam's top tourist attractions is the Cu Lao Cham - Hoi An Biosphere Reserve.

According to Phan Xuan Thanh, Chairman of the Quang Nam Tourism Association, Quang Nam sea and island tourism is a new product with great potential.

It is necessary to make much more investment and implement policies to exploit potential and develop more products associated with green tourism for provincial sustainable tourism development.

Furthermore, it is important to have strategies for advertising, and human resource training and development.

In the strategy for sea and island tourism in Vietnam until 2025, with a vision to 2030, the system of sea and island tourism will be the key products, including coastal resorts, sea and island landscapes, marine cruises, beach and coastal entertainment activities, sea sports, and marine ecology.

Quang Nam keeps on investing in building infrastructure, training human resources, developing marine tourism products, and upgrading their values in the provincial product chain of green tourism.

According to Le Tri Thanh, Deputy Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee, sea and islands are considered a strength of Quang Nam tourism.

Quang Nam has 125km of coastal line with several well-known beautiful beaches, such as Cua Dai, An Bang, Ha My, Tam Thanh, Bai Rang, Tam Tien, Tam Hai, and several islands and isles. They are a great natural resource for Quang Nam to develop its sea and island tourism.

Sea and island tourism development has to be closely associated with eco-environmental protection, becoming a driving force for green tourism development and contributing to sustainable local economic growth.
