Binh Minh Beach promises to be one of the most worth-visiting attractions in Hoi An. About 10km from the center of Thang Binh district to the east, Binh Minh commune is famous not only for its fishing potential but also for the beautiful and romantic seashore. It is not only about the beach, but also about more than 9km of Binh Minh's coastline which owns such a potential unspoiled natural beauty. Binh Minh beach is well-known for many fresh seafood specialties, especially the "Muc com" (a kind of small squid with squid eggs inside). "Muc com" is fished near the shore, and has better quality if fished in the horizontal sea. Local fishermen usually exploit this kind of seafood in the coastal area. Another unique cultural custom that interests visitors at Binh Minh beach is the special Fishing festival happens during the lunar-new-year days, from the 4th to the full-moon day. Solemnly and respectfully presented with traditional "Cheo" and "Ba trao" rhymes, the festival is held former to fishermen's departure day, praying for blessing weather and good harvests. See more
